New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: In view of the increasing coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh, the government has identified 97 mandals across the state as COVID-19 hotspots after the central government catgorised 11 out of 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh as Red Zones with large outbreaks. 

In Andhra Pradesh, the total number of positive coronavirus cases reached 722 on Tuesday morning, as per data by health ministry. Of 722 cases, 630 are active cases, while 92 people have recovered till now. A total of 20 people have succumbed to the infection in the state.

In view of the increasing cases, 97 mandals have been categorised as coronavirus hotspots and were sealed, restricting any movement, except those for essential services. Meanwhile, doctors in Andhra Pradesh have set a record by conducting 5,508 COVID -19 tests per day, occupying the second place among states conducting maximum number of COVID-19 tests per million.
